Publication Cycle

Use the publication cycle to plan your search of the literature.  The most effective searches start from the end of the publication cycle and work back through the cycle of publication.  Typically this would include:

1) Identifying key reference works:

3) Using this overview you have gained to plan effective searches of key databases for evidence summaries and systematic reviews e.g. Cochrane Library or Trip:

4) Plan effective searches of key databases for journal articles and conference papers:
